A Ray of Light: Suresh Kumar Regains His Eyesight at Karunalayam Ammaveedu

Kidangannur Karunalayam Ammaveedu witnessed a golden moment when stars of hope sparkled in the eyes of Suresh Kumar, who had been living in darkness for many years.

Suresh Kumar, who had lost his eyesight long ago, arrived at Karunalayam Ammaveedu with the hope of receiving treatment, carrying all his belongings and distancing himself from his siblings. Later, as he wandered helplessly—uncertain about life or death—the Aranmula Janamaithri Police and local residents intervened and brought him safely to Karunalayam Ammaveedu.

He slowly rebuilt his life here, adapting to the environment and living peacefully. He never once blamed his siblings, accepting his condition as destiny and preparing himself to continue in darkness forever.

However, by God’s grace and through the dedicated efforts of expert doctors, Suresh Kumar regained his eyesight through surgery. At the hospital, he said:

“When the bandages are removed, the first face I want to see is the Chairman’s, because ever since I came to Ammaveedu, it has been his dream to help me regain my sight by any means possible.”

When this blessed moment unfolded at Karunalayam Ammaveedu, it moved everyone to tears.

To share in this joyous occasion, Vicar Mathew Mathews of Kidangannur Senthom Marthoma Church rescheduled his visit to be present at the home, making the moment even more meaningful.

We express our deep gratitude to all friends, well-wishers, and supporters who continue to help the growth of Karunalayam Ammaveedu. Your support gives our residents new life, hope, and dignity.
