An Eye Testing Camp was conducted at Karunalayam Charitable Trust on 12 March 2026 under the leadership of the District Medical Office (Health) as part of the awareness activities related to World Glaucoma Week.
The camp was organised to help residents and members of the community detect glaucoma at an early stage and prevent vision loss. Medical professionals conducted eye examinations, screening tests, and awareness sessions explaining the importance of regular eye check-ups for the early detection of glaucoma.
The programme benefited many elderly residents and staff, promoting awareness about protecting eyesight and preventing glaucoma-related blindness.
