Karunalayam extended shelter and care to Mr. Raju, an elderly man who had been living in distress in a rented house without adequate support. The initiative was carried out under the leadership of Kulathupuzha Grama Panchayat President Ms. M. Sainafabeevi, in coordination with the Karunalayam team.
Mr. Raju (65), a native of Mathathikkonam, Kulathupuzha, had been residing in a rented accommodation while battling illness and severe hardship. For several years, he survived with the assistance of friends and well-wishers.
Following the intervention of public representatives to ensure access to old-age benefits and medical assistance, Karunalayam graciously agreed to admit him under its care. With the support and supervision of Kulathupuzha Grama Panchayat, the Karunalayam team formally took him into their protection.
The admission was conducted with the permission of Kulathupuzha Police. The occasion was attended by Grama Panchayat President Ms. M. Sainafabeevi, Block Panchayat Member Mr. S. L. Tom, and Grama Panchayat members Ms. Shabina Anwar, Ms. Lissy Job, Mr. Sunilkumar, Mr. A. S. Nizam, Mr. Subhilash Kumar, Ms. Anjali, and Ms. Vidya Vijayan.
